Price $1,999.99

This was Plummers first NFL helmet that he wore. He wore this helmet from 1997, his rookie year through the 2001 season. Jason "Jake" Plummer. A 1996 All American out of Arizona State. A two-time All Pac-10 player, and the Pac-10 Player of the Year in 1996. Selected in the second round of the 1997 draft by the Arizona Cardinals, Jake started 12 games for the Cardinals his rookie season. He played for the Cardinals through 2002, and signed with Denver in 2003 to replace Brian Griese as the Broncos starting quarterback. It was in Denver under head coach Mike Shanahan, that Jake enjoyed his best seasons. He retired from the NFL following the 2007 season after being traded to Tampa Bay. He has enjoyed his retirement until now - when he will shock the Football World by playing again at the age of 34. All components of this helmet are original, worn by Plummer, and consistent with Cardinals game helmets.

Riddell VSR4 model helmet, painted light metallic white, in a size Large. This helmet was Plummer's rookie helmet, used through the end of the 2001 season. The helmet comes complete with a Schutt OPO mask as preferred by Plummer during his career due to its lightweight design and maximum visibility. The mask is attached to the helmet with Schutt Clips on the top and early 1997-8 stabilizer clips on the sides. Phillips Schutt screws are used to secure the mask. The mask is dated 1998, and the top clips securing the mask are dated 1997. The chinstrap is an Adams Pro100 hard cup, low mount configuration, secured to the helmet with steel buckles. The Adams names have been removed from the chinstrap, and Riddell names screened on. The left side strap has Plummer's number written on it by the Cardinals equipment staff, which can be photo matched. In addition the wear to the Riddell names on the straps can also be photo matched to late season 2001 games.

The decals of the helmet remain intact with no lifting or seperation from the helmet. They are lightly scuffed and scraped and show light consistent quarterback use. Decals on the rear of the helmet include: Authentic team mini warning label, American Flag, NFL Shield, as well as Plummer's #16 and a Cardinals rear bumper decal. Inside the helmet is the Riddell factory warning label, 1998 reconditioning decal, as well as a identification label from the Cardinals equipment staff. On this label is the #16, helmet model, mask style, and chinstrap style. In addition, velcro fasteners are located on each side of the helmet behind the earholes for the quarterback communication speakers.

The inside of the helmet is in good condition with consistent wear. The facemask is in excellent condition as can be expected for a position that prohibits blows to the head. This helmet displays very well. It is a very rare helmet in that it was used for five (5) full seasons and can be photo matched very easily to hundreds of photos of Plummer.
