This helmet was worn by San Diego Chargers defensive back Bob Howard in 1974.  The helmet is a Riddell Micro Fit.  A bit of a rare helmet as the Chargers had just changed to the blue helmet from the traditional white helmet that they had worn for many years.  The unique thing about this helmet is - it was reconditioned at the Riddell factory and the reconditioning heat stamps on the rear of the helmet were applied directly over the lower tail of the Charger bolts on both sides of the helmet.  Very cool.  This helmet comes with the original facemask and chinstrap.  Reproduction clips secure the facemask to the helmet.
