Game Used, worn 1985 Cincinnati Bengals helmet.   The rare Rawlings RTS model helmet gets its name from using surgical tubing as the inner cell padding - designed to absorb the energy from blows to the helmet/head.  Today, hemets of this model are both a bit rare, but the surgical tubing in most of them has dried out - causing the tubing to be brittle, breaking and coming apart - often times missing from the helmet.  This helmet is no exception with the front and rear padding coming loose from the helmet.  The helmet is a massive 7 5/8 - 7 3/4 - fitting the largest melons in the game.  The helmet has a Riddell lightweight Kra-Lite plastic mask with the original clips and hardware securing it to the helmet.  It is original as to the day it left the field.  Light wear.   The helmet is all original as it was sourced to us.  Great helmet of a tough team to find in the helmet market - in a rare model, in great display condition.
