Game used, worn SMU Mustangs helmet last used during the 1999 season. The large sized Pro AiR II model helmet is original, complete, and unaltered or modified in any way.  The helmet has a manufacturing date stamp inside the helmet from 1997.

SMU wore this style helmet with no center stripes from 1997 through the 1999 season.  The side logos on the helmet are original, positioned properly, and adhered well to the helmet with no lifting.  The facemask is a Schutt RJOP-XL model with a 1997 datecode.  The mask is secured to the helmet with its original conventional clips at the top and side mount locations of the mask.   The helmet retains its original hardware.  Game decals include the team applied front bumper SMU decal. Interesting that there is an American Flag decal on the rear of the helmet, while most teams adapted that decal during the 2001 season.  There are no player identifiers inside of the helmet.

The helmet is a classic SMU game used example, highly sought after by fans and helmet collectors alike. . Don’t wait on this one!
