Arizona Cardinals Game Worn helmet from the 1993-94 seasons. Mark Tucker, a guard out of USC wore #71 and this helmet for the Cardinals in 1993, on the team's practice squad, and in 1994 when he played in all 16 games for the Cardinals. Tucker stayed in the area and joined the Tempe Fire Department after his playing days with the Cardinals.
The Riddell WD1 model helmet is all original in a size large. The helmet has an original date code of 1983, so it has been used and reconditioned a number of times over the years before issuing to Tucker. The helmet had a team applied #71 player identifier on the rear of the helmet, which was removed prior to its release, with adhesive residue and shadowing still present on the rear. There is a team applied "label" with the #73, the model/size of the helmet, and the model of facemask and chinstrap - on the inside of the helmet as normally present in Cardinals game helmets.
The helmet is original as sourced, unaltered, and matches examples of Cardinals game used helmets. The helmet is complete with all interior WD1 padding, including the original Riddell vinyl Pac style jaw pads. It has the original Cardinals decals on the sides, properly positioned on the helmet and adhered to the helmet very well with no lifting. The helmet has all game decals used by the team, including the NFL Shield and the team applied warning label. The helmet has a Riddell NJOP-DW model facemask, secured to the helmet with conventional clips at the top and side mounts. Finally, the helmet has a reconditioning sticker on the interior for the 1993 season from Athletic Recon of AZ, which later became Sunvalco Reconditioners.
The helmet has moderate wear to the outside and inside, and is in perfect display condition. Great game used Cardinals helmet with the classic logos, attributed to a player/First Responder, and all complete. It does not get any better!
