Game Worn early Arizona Ratttlers Riddell VSR3 model helmet in a large  size.  The helmet was originally manufactured in 1989 and supplied by the area helmet reconditioner - Athletic Recon of Arizona or more commonly called SunValCo - who also reconditioned and painted the Arizona Cardinals and the Arizona State Sun Devils.   As the helmet came from Sunvalco, the age of the helmet was prior to the Rattlers inaugural season of 1992.   Interesting also to note that the interior is Sunflower Gold as that is the color purchased for ASU and with SunValco painting the Rattler helmets, it made sense to keep their inventory lower with a common color of "base" helmet prior to painting.  Very cool that this helmet was issued to #73 of Arizona State in 1989 and then repurposed for the tight budgeted Arena League start-up team.  

The helmet is original as sourced to us and is complete.  The logos are  original, positioned properly, and adhered to the helmet very well with no lifting.   The helmet shows moderate to heavy wear to the exterior prior to the reconditioning and painting process with the deep gouges visible under the fresh copper colored paint. The original Riddell Z2B OPO style mask is secured to the helmet with its original clips and hardware.  

A nice game used helmet, early, original, complete, and ready to display - at a great price.  Oh, did we say how rare this helmet is?  Try and find another one.
