Oklahoma State Game Used Helmet from the 1992 through 1993 seasons. The helmet was worn by All American Linebacker and cowboys Legend, Keith Burns. Burns transferred to Oklahoma State in 1992 from Navarro Junior College where he was a Junior College All-American. At OSU, he was voted the Team Captain after just four (4) games for his leadership as well as his intensity on and off the field. He finished the 1992 season as 1st Team All Big Eight and Big Eight Defensive Newcomer of the year.  He started the 1993 season on several All-American teams and was ranked the Top Inside Linebacker in all of college Football. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos and played 13 seasons in the NFL for four (4) different teams, winning two (2) Super Bowls.  He is currently coaching at the college level after coaching for several seasons in the NFL.
The medium sized Schutt AiR Power model is all original and complete including the chinstrap. The helmet has an original manufacturing datecode of 1992, Burns first season, when the Cowboys wore their orange logo decals on the sides of their helmets. The team wore these darker OSU logo decals for just two seasons (1993-94) so it is a bit of a rare helmet on the collectible market, as the majority of helmets were reused for the 1995 season when the team went back to the more recognizable orange logos.  The helmet remains in unaltered condition from the time Burns left the field for the last time at the end of the 1993 season. There is a reconditioning sticker under the jaw pad along with a dymo tape player identifier with the name "BURNS" on it.
The helmet has a Riddell thin wire RJOP-UB-DW model facemask as matched to the footage shots of Burns below. The mask is secured to the helmet using thin wire period Schutt clips and hardware. Both the mask and hardware are original to the helmet. The jaw pads are Schutt "AiR" brand in a 3/4" firm configuration. The helmet shows heavy wear to the exterior of the helmet and mask with scuffs and deep gouges at the front and crown. The logo decals of the helmet are original, properly positioned, and adhered to the helmet with no lifting. There is a factory warning label on the rear of the helmet, Burns' #44 player identifier decals, the star above the #44, the HPI decal on the rear left side, and COWBOYS on the front bumper covering the AiR branding name. A great Cowboys gamer, of a star All-American, NFL standout, and Cowboys Legend - with excellent heavy on-field wear, of a rare model, photo matched, to add to your collection.
