Game Worn Illinois Fighting Illini BIKE AiR Power model helmet.   The helmet was manufactured in 1991 and was used through at least the 1983 season - as the helmet has a 1993 reconditioning sticker on the interior. The helmet is all original and complete with the exception of the chinstrap.    The helmet has the Pro AiR II padding along with the single blue air bladder, original jawpads, and AiR front bumper pad.   The helmet has its original Schutt RJOP-DW thin wire facemask from 1992.  The mask is secured to the helmet using the original Schutt clips and hardware.  There are no player identifiers found in the helmet, however there is what looks like a player identifier blacked out and removed on the interior left side near the earhole - see photo below. 

The helmet logo decals and striping are proper and original to the helmet.  They are positioned properly and adhered to the helmet well, with no lifting as shown in the photos.   Interesting to note that a gap is cut in the decal for the upper chinstrap snap. The equipment team did this during this period with examples seen on photographs including the photo below.

A very rare helmet, tough to find anywhere, in a desirable model, with a rare original mask and hardware, ready to display and become the centerpiece for your collection.
