Detroit Lions game used helmet from the 1990 season attributed to long time NFL linebacker Niko Noga.  The helmet has Noga's #51 player identifier on the rear of the helmet - flanking the sides stripes, along with the large dymo tape identifier NOGA on the right rear side stripe, as done by the Lions equipment staff in the late 80s through 1990s.  Noga wore #51 for the Lions and played three (3) seasons for the Lions to finish up his eight year career.  The Riddell WD1 model helmet is all original and complete, except for the chinstrap - normally kept by the player or the team at the time of a helmets release.

The helmet has its original striping and logos on the sides, properly positioned and adhered well with some lifting to one of the Lion's tails.  Other decals include the team white on clear warning label, the American Flag - worn for the 1990 season, and the Lions rear bumper decal covering the Riddell name.  The helmet has light to moderate wear with scrapes, and scuffs on the entire helmet along with wear and field dirt on the helmet’s  inside.

The facemask is a Schutt NOPO model, in the correct color, secured to the helmet with the original Riddell clips at the top mounts as well as at the side mounts.  These clips are obviously very brittle but have hung on this long due to care in handling.  A replacement set will be included with the sale of the helmet in the event that they finally give way as they all do from this period.  The helmet retains it’s original hardware.
