Game Used Albert Lewis Riddell Pac3 helmet from the 1990 season. The helmet has a manufacturing date of 1979, so it was worn for several seasons by Lewis as well as possibly at least one other player prior to Lewis joining the Chiefs. The helmet is original and complete with the exception of the chinstrap.
Lewis was a lockdown corner for the Chiefs and Raiders. A four-time Pro Bowl and two-time All Pro, Lewis played 16 seasons in the NFL after being drafted in the 3rd round in 1983.
The helmet is in excellent display condition exhibiting moderate wear and paint transfers on the exterior front, interior, and side logos. The helmet is complete with all interior Pac3 padding, well-worn Riddell leather jaw pads, and a Schutt OPO model mask from 1990. The helmet logos are original to the helmet, properly positoned, and adhered to the helmet with no lifting. The American flag is found on the left rear side of the helmet from the 1990 season. There is clear protective vinyl over the flag. Photos below of Lewis are from different seasons of play -showing the style match to the model, mask, and jawpads worn by Lewis. Great vintage helmet from an American favorite team, worn by a long-time star player.
