Game Used Southwest Texas State Bobcats Schutt Pro AiR model helmet. The "regular" sized helmet has a date code on the inside of the helmet of 1989. As Texas state switched in 1990 to the maroon helmet from white, this helmet was one of the first ordered from the University for their upcoming season. The helmet has a reconditioning sticker on the interior for the 1992 season, so it was used for three seasons. The Bobcats used this style of logo decals, without the helmet stripes for the 1992 through 1996 seasons.
Helmet shows heavy wear with deep gouges to the exterior front and crown, with moderate wear to the interior of the helmet. Helmet is complete and all original and unmodified in any way. The helmet has its original Pro AiR model padding with the single air bladder, AiR style vinyl jaw pads, Schutt NOPO model facemask from 1992, secured to the helmet with the original clips and hardware. There is no chinstrap with the helmet. There are no player identifiers on or in the helmet, but there is dried adhesive residue on the rear of the helmet where one was on the helmet. The logo decals are original, properly positioned, and adhered to the helmet with no lifting. Great original helmet in a rare team, in a rare model, to add to your gamer collection. At the asking price, with the free shipping, don't wait on this one.
