Game Worn Purdue Boilermakers Riddell AF2 model helmet in a huge XL size - 7 7/8. Purdue wore the black helmets like this for just two seasons - 1989 and 1990. This helmet comes from the Pepper Burruss collection - the longtime trainer for the Green Bay Packers.

The helmet is original as sourced to us and is complete except for the chinstrap.   The helmet has an original manufacturing date stamp of 1987, and has a #26 player identifier written under the jaw pad.   The helmet has the early AF2 Pac padding, the original front bumper pad and pocket, and the original Riddell jaw pads.

The logos are original, positioned properly, and adhered to the helmet very well with no lifting. The helmet shows moderate wear to the exterior and the interior of the helmet, with light gouges under the paint from previous seasons. There is a reconditioning sticker inside the helmet for the 1989 season.

The original Schutt 1989 thin wire NJOP mask is secured to the helmet with its original clips and hardware.
