This helmet is an original MaxPro New England Patriots clear shell helmet from 1987.  The helmet is a "clear shell" with the paint under the shell of the helmet.  This helmet also has the center stripes and Patriot logo decals under the shell as well.  A very rare and highly desirable model of helmet.  All original and very rare, the helmet has the original padding, jawpads, and very rare MaxPro chinstrap.  The helmet is in excellent original condition with no modifications.  The original clips were broken with reproduction replacement clips now in place securing the original Schutt NJOP model facemask to the helmet.  The original hardware is used to secure the facemask clips to the helmet.  There are no player identifiers on or inside of the helmet.   Original MaxPro factory decals are inside of the helmet with the 1987 datecode.  A great rare vintage MaxPro helmet that is very hard to find.  The helmet was sourced to us in a trade from a NFL and College clear shell collector.  If you know how rare Patriots helmets are - together with how rare MaxPro clear shell NFL helmets are, you know what this is.  You'll never see another one this nice.
