Game Worn Oakland Raiders BIKE Pro AiR.  The helmet is all original, complete including the chinstrap, and unaltered since it left the field.  As you may know, older Raiders helmets are very rare in the collectors market, and when they do pop up, they are quickly purchased and rarely if ever resurface.  Yes, Raiders fans and collectors are a different breed, and know the value and rarity of helmets from their beloved team.  

The Bike Pro AiR helmet was the predeessor to their popular Pro AiR II helmet that was introduced in the early 1990s.  It had a single blue air bladder - unlike BIKE’s other popular helmet, the AiR Power which utilized a double air bladder.  The Pro Air was popular in college football and the NFL for skill position players offering ample protection and a light weight design.  The helmet has all of the interior padding including the air bladder, front and rear sizer padding, bladder liner, and the front BIKE bumper pad.  The  helmet retains its jawpads which are Riddell Pac style vinyl pads in a large (thickness) size.  

The helmet has light wear - on the exterior and interior of the helmet, with a bit of age staining, and displays very well.  The center stripe and logo decals are original to the helmet, positioned properly and are adhered to the helmet very well no lifting.  The facemask is original to the helmet - a 1987 Schutt OPO-SW (single wire) model, preferred by the Raiders equipment staff for quarterbacks and receivers due to the maximum visibility it offered.   The mask is secured to the helmet using its original Schutt 1987 clips.  Interesting to note that the helmet has the team applied warning label on the left side of the helmet rear instead of the right side.  This was a practice that the Raiders did for a short time during the life of this helmet, and is shown in the photo below.   The helmet had the rear player identifier stickers removed as they often did when releasing a helmet.  There are no player identifiers on the interior.  

If you are a Raiders helmet collector, you know how rare game used Raiders helmet are, and especially a vintage BIKE helmet.  This is one nice Raiders helmet.  The photos do not do it justice.  Not beat to crap, but also not fresh and shiny.  This one is just right and won’t last long.  Don’t wait or even think about it.  You won’t regret it.
