Game Worn Colts helmet.  The Riddell Pac3 helmet has moderate wear from the multiple seasons that it was used.  The helmet was manufactured in 1982, and was used through the 1985 season.  The facemask of the helmet is a Riddell Kra-Lite plastic NJOP model used by some NFL players of this era due to its lightweight and nearly indestructible design.  These masks were less than half the weight of their carbon steel counterparts.  The mask is secured with the original clips and hardware.  The helmet is original and complete with the vinyl Pac3 style jawpads and the original PAC3 padding as sourced.   

The helmet is all original and has not been altered or modified.  The helmet logo decals and center stripe are proper and original to the helmet.  They are positioned properly and adhered to the exterior of the helmet well, with no lifting but severe shifting of the center stripe on the helmet.  We have made no attempt to correct/fix the stripe but are happy to do so if the buyer would like us to.   The side logos exhibit the smaller horseshoe nail holes as well as the more narrow top opening of the shoe as used by the Colts during this era.  There is an original gold on clear team applied warning label on the rear of the helmet as used by the team during this period - see photo below.   Like nearly all Colts helmets that were released from this period, there are no player identifiers in or on the rear of the helmet.   A nice helmet, getting tougher to find, in a rare very desirable model, with a rare original mask and hardware, ready to display and become the centerpiece for your collection.
