Game Used, worn North Carolina Riddell Pac3 football helmet.  The helmet has an original manufacturing datecode of 1981 in the helmet.   The helmet has a white original Riddell NOP mask installed, as the Tar Heels changed to white facemasks for the 1980 season.  The mask is secured to the helmet with the original Riddell 1970s-80s era clips, retaining the original screws and hardware.  

Unlike most UNC helmets from this period, this helmet was NOT converted into a lamp as the majority of the UNC helmets from this era were after they were "retired".  The helmet is original and complete and unmodified in any way from the time it was released from the team.  The striping and logo decals are original, properly positioned, and adhered to the helmet well with no lifting.  There is a #21 written on the rear padding of the helmet as done by the Tar Heels equipment staff during this period, as well as the original #1 player identifier on the rear right side flanking the striping while the left side #2 was removed with shadowing of where it was applied on the helmet.  

The helmet remains in very nice condition with no fading or staining of any kind due to age.  It is clear that it has spent most of its life tucked away inside and no in the light or the weather.   Tough helmet to find from this "LT Era."  Helmet is in great display condition.  A nice helmet to display.
