Game Worn LSU Tigers helmet from 1981-1988.  The helmet is a Riddell Pac3 model helmet with an original date code of 1981.  Along with a reconditioning sticker from 1985, the facemask has a date code of 1988 thus dating the helmet to the eight years of the 1980s.  The helmet is complete with both early and late Pac3 cell padding, Riddell Pac3 style vinyl jawpads, Riddell Pac3/WD1 chinstrap, and a Schutt NJOP model facemask.  The mask is secured to the helmet using the original clips and hardware.  

The helmet exhibits moderate wear to the interior and exterior.  The LSU side logos are in good condition and adhered to the helmet very well with no lifting.  Sizing of the helmet is indicated at 7 7/8 by the hand written sticker on the inside of the helmet.  A TIGERS decal is on the front bumper while a #28 player identifier is on the rear of the helmet.   A great early model helmet of a college powerhouse to display in your collection, at a very good price.
