Game Worn Illinois Fighting Illini WD1 model helmet.  The helmet was manufactured in 1981 and was used through the 1982 season.  It is original and complete except for the chinstrap.  The helmet has the WD1 cell padding along with the vinyl Riddell Pac3/WD1 jawpads, and wildcat front bumper pad.   The helmet has its original Riddell stainless steel lineman facemask.  The mask is secured to the helmet using the original Riddell clips and hardware.  The helmet is a regular size large in a 7 3/8.   There are no player identifiers found in the helmet. 

The helmet logo decals and striping are proper and original to the helmet.  They are positioned properly and adhered to the helmet well, with very slight lifting as shown in the photos.  A very rare helmet, tough to find anywhere, in a rare very desirable model, with a rare original mask and hardware, ready to display and become the centerpiece for your collection.
