Game Worn Boston College Riddell WD1 model helmet in a massive XL size - 7 3/4.  The helmet was originally manufactured in 1981 and worn through at least the 1987 season.  The WD1 was Riddell’s most popular fitted helmet for over a decade, very popular in both college football as well as the NFL in the 80s and 1990s.

The helmet is original as sourced to us and is complete including the chinstrap.   The helmet shows moderate to heavy wear to the exterior and the interior of the helmet, with gouges under the paint from previous seasons.   A Schutt NJOP mask is secured to the helmet with its original clips and hardware.  The helmet has a 1987 reconditioning sticker on the interior along with a #61 player identifier decal.  Brian Schoenle a Senior Center from New York wore #61 and this helmet for the Eagles.  He is seen in the bottom photo below.
