Game Used Iowa Hawkeyes Riddell Pac-3 model helmet.  The helmet is original to the day it left the field with no modifications or alterations of any kind.  It is complete with the exception of the chinstrap.  The Pac-3 helmet in a size 7 1/2 based off of the Large sized shell and the padding insert size and configuration, has the original interior padding along with the original Riddell leather jaw pads.  The facemask is a 1970s Riddell stainless steel NJOP model in the Hawkeye black color.  The Hawkeyes switched to black helmets and black masks just one (1) year earlier for the 1979 season.  The rare model mask is secured to the helmet with the original Riddell clips and hardware.  

The logo decals and stripe are original to the helmet.  They are correct, properly positioned, and adhered to the helmet with no issues or lifting.  The right side decal has a large black paint transfer.  There is a #90 player number on the rear of the helmet as worn by the Hawkeyes during this period and continued today.  The player number is correct and positioned properly on the helmet.  A rare complete model of a team who’s helmets do not come up often in the collectible market.  When they do, they are quickly purchased by the loyal fanbase and helmet collectors alike due to the rarity.  An excellent original and complete helmet, seldom seen that is sure to be the centerpiece of any Iowa fan or helmet collector.
