Game Used, worn 1978-89 San Francisco 49ers Riddell Pac3 model helmet.   The medium shell sized helmet comes complete with 70s style Schutt NOP along with its original Riddell leather jawpads.    The mask is secured to the helmet using 1990s style Schutt clips from the original owner as the helmets's original clips became brittle and broke.  The helmet was manufactured in 1978 but has reconditioning stickers on the inside - proving its used into the 1980s as well.  There is a 1984 Jim Davis Enterprises reconditioning sticker, as they were the company that reconditioned the 49ers helmets in the 1980s.  The helmet also has an All American reconditioning sticker in the crown of the helmet - indicating reconditioned for the 1989 season - explaining the later logo decals without the clear outer boarder.  

The helmet has gouges and scratches that have been painted over from the years of reconditioning along with decal adhesive residue near the stripes and logos as shown in the photos above.  It is clear the helmet has seen much use on the field.  The striping and logos also have some wear but are adhered well to the helmet.   The helmet does have a #15 player identifier on the inside of the helmet - with one under the removed All American reconditioning sticker, which is often the case with older 49ers helmets.  Great helmet from a team that's helmets are rare in the market and highly sought after - in nice display condition.
