Game Used, worn North Carolina Riddell Pac3 football helmet.  The helmet has an original manufacturing datecode of 1978 in it and a reconditioning sticker on the interior for the 1980 season.  The helmet has a white original Schutt NOP mask installed, as the Tar Heels changed to white facemasks for the 1980 season.  The mask is secured to the helmet with the original Riddell 1970s-80s era clips, retaining the original slotted screws and hardware.  

The helmet was turned into a lamp at one time as the majority of the UNC helmets from this era are after they are "retired", however that does not take away from the helmet as it is complete as it was during its time protecting a Tarheel player(s).  There is a very slight indentation around the center hole of the helmet where the lamp hardware was attached  There are no other visible indications of the lamp or any moifications to the helmet.   There is a #26 written on the rear padding of the helmet.  Tough helmet to find from this "LT Era."  Helmet is in great display condition.  A nice helmet to display.
