Game Used, worn 1978 San Francisco 49ers Riddell Pac3 model helmet.   The large sized helmet comes complete with 70s style Schutt OPO along with thin Riddell leather jawpads.  The facemask was added to the helmet and is not original to the helmet.  The mask is secured to the helmet using one original and three reproduction clips.  The original hardware remains with the helmet.  The helmet was manufactured in 1978 but has remains from reconditioning stickers on the inside - so safe to say it was used in the early 1980s as well.  The helmet has many gouges and scratches that have been painted over from the years of reconditioning.  It is clear the helmet has seen much use on the field.  The striping and logos also have some wear but are adhered well to the helmet.  The helmet has the original 49ers nose bumper decal on the front of the helmet.  The interior padding has a few spots that are chewed up a bit as shown in the photos above.  The helmet does not have any player identifiers on the inside of the helmet.  The helmet was sourced to us with no facemask attached.  The original 70's Schutt OPO mask was added to the helmet.  Great helmet from a team that's helmets are rare in the market and highly sought after - in nice display condition.
