Game Worn Arizona State Sundevils helmet from the 1975-76 seasons.  The helmet was worn by star defensive end Willie Scroggins. The large sized Micro Fit helmet is original, unaltered, and complete including the chinstrap.

As mentioned, the helmet is a Riddell Micro Fit model helmet - with the fluid pac padding. The facemask is a an early 1970s Schutt NJOP model mask - with great wear. The mask is secured to the helmet using reproduction clips as the original clips were broken - as common due to becoming brittle over the years. The helmet retains its original screws and hardware.  The helmet has its original Riddell leather jawpads, in well worn condition, yet in excellent shape with all snaps intact. 

The helmet exhibits heavy wear on both the interior and exterior of the helmet with gouges, scraps and paint transfers. The side decals show a season full of wear while the center stripe seems to have been replaced during the period - as it is an original Riddell thin mil stripe with it's white adhesive showing on the edges. Scroggins' player identifier number decals are still on the rear of the helmet and are original to the helmet. The name "SCROGGINS" is marked twice in the helmet interior along with his number 86 also marked twice.
