Game Worn Arizona State Sundevils helmet from the 1975-77 seasons.  The helmet was worn by offensive lineman John Tyler #62.  The large sized Micro Fit helmet is original, while missing the facemask, chinstrap, and jaw pads, and is priced accordingly.

As mentioned, the helmet is a Riddell Micro Fit model helmet - with the fluid pac padding. The micro fit model helmet was the preferred model of helmet for the Sun Devils linemen and linebackers during this period. See our other helmet worn by defensive star Willie Scroggins. The helmet is missing the facemask and we have not replaced it. The new owner can decide whether to add a facemask to the helmet or display it as is.  

The helmet exhibits heavy wear on both the interior and exterior of the helmet with gouges and scraps under the paint.   The side decals appear to have been replaced with little to no wear but are lifting from the helmet in several places.   The center stripe is an original Riddell thin mil stripe with it's white adhesive showing on the edges. Tyler's player identifier number decals are still on the rear as is his number both written inside the helmet along with a $62 player identifier decal. The name "TYLER" is marked in the helmet interior as was the practice with the ASU equipment staff during this period.
