Game Worn Colts helmet.  The Riddell TK suspension model helmet in a large shell has moderate wear from the multiple seasons that it was used.  The helmet was manufactured in 1973, and was used through the 1977 season.  The facemask of the helmet is a Riddell BD9 two bar plastic mask, most likely the most popular and widely recognized mask in football history.  The mask is secured with the original hardware.  The helmet is original and complete with the suspension, leather  jawpads and the original rubber crown “doughnut.”  The helmet has its original wildcat front nose bumper and retains the original screws securing it to the front of the helmet.  

The helmet is all original and has not been altered or modified.  The helmet logo decals and center stripe are proper and original to the helmet.  They are positioned properly and adhered to the exterior of the helmet well, with ver slight lifting to the right upper end of the right side decal.  There are no player identifiers in or on the rear of the helmet, however there is a shadow of what appears to be a “4” as one of the two player numbers on the helmet rear.     A nice helmet, getting tougher to find, in a rare very desirable model, with a rare original mask and hardware, ready to display and become the centerpiece for your collection.
