Game Used Southern Illinois Salukis MacGregor 100MH Clear Shell Helmet. This style of helmet was used by the Salukis from 11970 through the 1972 season. For the 1973 season the Salukis switched to a white helmet and continued to use the white helmets for the next 38 years. The “clear shell” helmet is a very rare and highly sought after model, with the logos and paint of the helmet under the clear shell. The helmet is complete with the exception of the chinstrap. It is all original, unaltered or modified in any way. The left jawpad is basically missing except for the inner skin with the three plastic tabs. We have not replaced the pad choosing to leave the helmet original. The helmet shows moderate game use, however the logos and paint remain in nice condition - hence the theory of using clear shell helmets. The helmet comes with its original Dungard 125 model facmask. An excellent, very rare model of a Salukis helmet - that you may never see another one like it.
