Game Used Virginia Tech Hokies Riddell TK  suspension helmet. The helmet is complete and all original as sourced. The helmet was worn in 1970 by Jim Heizer.  The original factory applied Hokies stripes are adhered well to the helmet, with no lifting.  The Riddell heat stamps on the rear of the helmet go through the stripes.  The helmet is in very nice condition without the wear that can be expected on both the exterior and the interior.  An original Schutt NJOP model facemask is secured to the helmet with reproduction clips while retaining its original hardware.  Interesting to note that a high point chinstrap is installed to the helmet.  This is a bit unusual, as in 1970, the high mount chinstraps were not popular like today, with really only MacGregor using them occasionally on their 100MH model helmets.  Certainly, Riddell did not use or offer the high mount chinstraps at this time.  The chinstrap - you guessed it, a MacGregor from their 100MH helmet line.  The helmet has its original leather jawpads.  Just a very fine college football helmet from over 50 years ago in great condition.
