This is a very rare Chiefs helmet from The early to mid 1960's.  The Chiefs wore this style helmet with the same style of facemask as early as 1964 thru roughly 1967 although they continued into '68 and '69.   The helmet is a Riddell RK "HUSKY" suspension helmet.  The helmet is original.  The helmet is complete with the original leather jawpads and the very rare original Schutt NOP bolt-on facemask attached using original hardware.  The clips securing the facemask to the helmet are also original!   The helmet also has original Chiefs logos - which as you know are almost a paper-like material.  This is a very nice helmet with light to moderate wear.  Our guess is that it was reconditioned and then never used.  It is interesting that the helmet has leather wrapping/padding around the head liner portion of the suspension.  The helmet has a story.   Very cool.
