1969 Houston Oilers Riddell Factory RK Suspension helmet.  The helmet was never used, never had a mask installed to it, and remains in excellent condition - with the only marks being from moving it around for the past 50 years.  The helmet has very rare 3-layer side Oilers logo decals.  The helmet is missing the inner strap of the rear neck sizer - and appears that the strap was never sewn to the sizer.  Not only is this a very rare helmet but it is one of the most desirable teams from the old AFL among helmet collectors.  Seldom do Oilers helmets appear in the collectible market and when they do, they are quickly snatched up at premium prices and rarely reappear.  This helmet is the 'cream of the crop" of those Oilers helmets that appear.  Highly sought after Riddell RK helmet, complete with the Riddell suspension, original Riddell leather jawpads, Riddell heat stamps on the rear, and original factory warranty label dated 1969 on the inside of the helmet.  A museum quality helmet that you will never see another one of - with a chance to own it.
