Game Worn Stanford Cardinal suspension helmet.  The very rare Riddell RK2 model helmet is an XL size with the larger center ridge of the helmet - commonly known as a “Husky” helmet for its extra large size.  It is estimated that less than 5% of the suspension helmets produced through the years by Riddell were the XL/Husky size.  Very rare indeed.  

The helmet is original and complete.  The helmet has the original suspension, original Riddell leather jawpads, and the original Riddell BD9 model two bar facemask, secured to the helmet using the original hardware.    There are no player identifiers found in the helmet. 

The helmet logo decals and striping are original to the helmet.  The logos are positioned properly and are adhered to the helmet very well.  There is minor damage to each logo as expected.  The center stripe is positioned properly - down the center of the 1 1/2” center ridge.  There is some damage to the front lower portion of the center stripe as shown in the photo.  The helmet has the original factory sticker inside the helmet with the 1967 date code.    A very rare helmet, tough to find anywhere in a normal size, and imposible to find in the XL Husky version.  The helmet is all original with the two bar mask,  ready to display and become the centerpiece for your collection.
