When David DeCastro hung up his helmet following the 2020 season final game against the Browns, it would be the last time that he wore a Steelers helmet - with that iconic logo on just one side of the helmet. The Riddell Precision Fit model was well worn after an entire season of war in the trenches, with half of the right side front “6” ripped away - just the way it was sourced, straight from the Steelers. The helmet is all original and complete with the P-Fit interior leather padding, custom embroidered label attributing it to DeCastro, original battered facemask, original clips and hardware, all game decals, front 3D bumper, and chinstrap. The massive heavy helmet was originally sourced straight from the Steelers through their Pro Shop and has their hologram on the helmet rear. Great helmet from a very solid NFL superstar, with a resume that includes nine seasons played, six Pro Bowl selections, and two 1st Team All Pro selections. The helmet has heavy wear and can be photo matched to games all season. DeCastro is already boarderline HOF, and if he resumes his career ater ankle surgery, there is a chance we will see him at the podium wearing a gold jacket.
