Game Worn Arizona State Sun Devils helmet from the 2017 season.  The helmet was worn/used for just one game and never used again for the Sun Devils.  This ultra-rare helmet was used for game #9 against the Colorado Buffaloes, in which the Sun Devils beat Colorado in a miraculous come from behind victory by scoring 24 points in the fourth quarter! The large sized Riddell Flex is original, unaltered, and complete including the chinstrap and rare ASU chinstrap cover.

As mentioned, the helmet is a Riddell Flex model helmet - original and complete as it had left the field following the game 9 victory over Colorado. The helmet exhibits light one game wear on both the interior and exterior of the helmet and remains in excellent display condition. The hydro-dipped camoflage exterior remains in excellent condition with no wear or damage.   The decals on the helmet are complete, original, and all are adhered to the helmet well with no lifting. There is some decal damage to the one logo decal at the tip of the decal.  There is an ASU team applied player identifier with the name "SAM" in the helmet interior.  

Following the game 9 victory against Colorado, the helmets were sent to the team's reconditioner - Sunvalco Athletic for reconditioning.  The helmets were reconditioned to be worn for one (1) game during the following 2018 season. However, the helmets were never used again in this design and were repainted to be used during the 2018 season, creating one of the rarest styles of helmets that the team has ever used.  This helmet was set aside by the reconditioner and placed on a shelf following being sent back a second time to be repainted back to the traditional sunflower yellow.  Today, these helmets are extremely rare with very few survivors.  If you are an ASU fan or if you love very rare football helmets with a story, this is one you would love and is special!
