Game Used Los Angeles Rams Riddell Revolution helmet. Original date code on the helmet is from 2009, however the helmet was still being used by the team in 2017, well after Riddell had stopped offering the model. The helmet has a long history and had been issued to more than one player, but last worn by defensive star Ethan Westbrooks in 2017.
I am convinced after a bunch of research that Westbrooks was the last Rams player to wear a Revolution helmet, wearing this one in 2016 and 2017 before switching to a Schutt F7 model in 2018. The helmet has an interior reconditioning label that shows at one time it was issued to #71, along with hand written “17-17” and Westbrook’s #93. Remnants of a removed dymo tape identifier remains as well as a Ram’s inventory bar code sticker.
The helmet is complete including the chinstrap and was sourced from the collection of a Los Angeles Chargers executive. The helmet show moderate wear on the exterior and interior with deep gouges that have been sanded and painted over. The rams horn logos are original to the helmet, properly positioned and adhered well to the helmet with no lifting. The logos were cut at the chinstrap snap buttons as the Hewitts had done with Rams game helmets for decades. Game decals include 3D rubber bumpers on the front and rear, warning labe, American flag, and the eight-star NFL shield.
Great helmet of a Rams star with historic significance to impress your buddies and fellow collectors.
