Game worn Riddell 360 helmet from the 2012 season. The helmet is attributed to offensive lineman Matt Moore. As Moore only played two seasons with Iowa, the helmet is in very nice condition and is perfect for display.
The 360 model from Riddell was their attempt to reduce concussions with players. They produced an oversized shell packed full of padding. The size and weight made it very unpopular with players, and the model was quickly discontinued from the Riddell line - replaced by their new popular Speed and later Flex models. Today, the 360 model is becoming a collectors item - rarely found and at a significantly higher price than when the helmet was offered for on-field play.
Helmet is original and complete including the chinstrap. Typically the team keeps the chinstraps when a helmet is released, however this helmet has the strap. The chinstrap has "HAWKEYES" screened on the upper straps as the team used during this era. The helmet comes with all of the game decals, including Moore's #64 identifier numbers on the rear of the helmet. Additionally, the helmet is engraved with the player identifier on the lower edge of the exterior as done by the Hawkeyes Equipment Team - "MOORE 12-64". The logos and striping remain in excellent condition with no lifting, typically replaced often by the equipment staff.
Just a great helmet to add to your gamer collection. At the asking price, along with the free shipping, don't wait on this one.
