Game used, worn Raiders helmet from the 2008 season attributed to offensive lineman John Wade. The helmet is complete as sourced, originally from JO Sports, (see hologram photo below)who had a sales agreement with the Raiders for their game used equipment during this period. The helmet exhibits light lineman wear, consistent with Wade who started just four (4) games for Oakland in 2008 - his final season in the NFL.
The Riddell VSR4 helmet is original and complete. The helmet was reconditioned for the 2007 season as indicated by the reconditioning sticker near the left jaw pad, but then was issued to Wade after coming over from Tampa Bay in 2008. The XL sized helmet has a Schutt NJOP-DW model mask, installed with conventional clips at the top mounts and stabilizer clips at the sides. The logos and striping of the helmet are original, properly positioned, and adhered to the helmet with no issues or lifting. Game decals include Wade’s #71 on the rear of the helmet along with NFL shield, warning label, and American flag. The flag decal has curled and lifter on the left side near the center stripe. Photos of Wade with the Raiders in an attempt to match the helmet are few and far between. There is a paint issue on the front left side of the helmet, three (3) inches from the nose bumper, next to the center stripe. That defect can also be seen in the photo of Wade below. There is a #71 player identifier written by the Raiders equipment staff next to the reconditioning sticker by the left jaw pad. The indentifier is consistent with other Raiders helmets from this period. Nice helmet for display for the diehard Raiders fan or the helmet collector - at a nice affordable price. Jump on it quick or another Raiders helmet collector will.
