Game Used USC Trojans Riddell WD1 model helmet.  The helmet has an original manufacturing date of 1980 and was used by the team for a number of seasons - given the 1989 recon sticker and datecode on the mask.  The helmet is complete and all original as sourced.  The large shell is painted USC cardinal red.  Original WD1 model padding and vinyl Pac style jawpads are on the inside along with the Riddell warning stickers.  The Schutt Gen 1 ROPO-UB-DW model mask, dated 1989, is secured to the helmet using the original clips and hardware.  Of course the Trojans switched from gray masks to the cardinal masks in 1987, so this helmet had gray masks secured to it in previous seasons.  It is a bit of a rare helmet as the Trojans transitioned from Riddell helmets to BIKE helmets in the early 1980s.
