Fresh to the helmet collecting hobby.  This game worn 49ers Wilson F2101 suspension helmet is a bit of a rare model for use in the NFL.  Of course the 49ers along with the Bears used Wilson football helmets and this one is a fine example of what they used.  This helmet is all original with the darker metallic gold paint as was used by the team in the late 1970s and early 1980s.  This helmet is all complete with the Wilson padded vinyl Pac suspension, the ultra rare leather jaw pads with the Wilson snap pattern, and a Schutt OPO model facemask installed to it - which is original to this helmet along with the original hardware to secure the mask.   The helmet retains it's original Wilson chinstrap.  The logos and striping are all original to the helmet and adhered well with no lifting.  There is a Jim Davis reconditioning sticker up in the crown of the helmet for the xxxx season.  The Jim Davis reconditioning company had the pleasure during the 1970s and early 80s of reconditioning all of the 49ers equipment.  There are no player identifiers inside of the helmet.  An awesome, rare, all original 49ers helmet that does not come around very often.
