This is a helmet that was consigned to us.  A friend and collector of vintage helmets has decided to trim his collection down a bit.  This helmet is very similar to the Wilson Rams helmet that we owned and recently sold (see sold helmets.).  Besides the one that we had owned and sold, this is the only other Rams helmet of the same model/style that we have seen.  

A Los Angeles Rams Pat Haden original Wilson Game Used F2004 model suspension helmet from 1975.  Great helmet in outstanding condition with excellent game use.  The helmet is original and comes complete with the original very rare Wilson "U" leather jawpads, original Schutt XL sized OPO - also in excellent condition.  This collector wants to keep his helmets as original as possible - and does not like to use reproduction clips to secure the helmets facemask.  The mask is secured to the helmet using small cable/zip ties, keeping the original clips - or what is left of them with the helmet. Aecure it to the helmet.  The Rams logos are original to the helmet and in nice condition and adhered to the helmet very well.   It is interesting that these logos were applied by the Rams equipment staff (Hewitt) with the cut-outs done for the facemask clips as well as the chinstrap snaps - as the Rams have done from 1973 to even today with their game helmets.  Unlike those helmets decaled at the Riddell factory - with the suspension rivets installed after the decals were applied to the shell.  (See our 1973 Riddell Rams TK suspension helmet).  Has the Haden Dymo-Tape applied on the helmet interior.  Tough helmet to find.  Sure to be the centerpiece of any Rams collector's collection.
