Game Used Auburn Tigers Riddell RK suspension helmet.  Yes, this is a very rare RK model of helmet.  The helmet would make a great start of a very rare Auburn project helmet, or could be displayed as it is.    This helmet has been drilled for both a 1 or 2 bar quarterback style mask, but also drilled for a lineman style cage mask.  Helmet has had the player identifiers removed from the sides of the helmet as the Tigers wore during this period, but they could be purchased and reapplied to the helmet.   The helmet has a #10 player identifier marked on the inside of the helmet.  

The helmet has a bit of age staining to the exterior but could be cleaned and re-whitened.  The helmet has had some of its original suspension cut - perhaps prior to release to "encourage" the new owner to not wear it.  The original factory painted stripes are present and in good condition.     The Riddell heat stamps on the rear of the helmet go through the stripes.  The helmet is missing  its original leather jaw pads.  There is damage to the top of the crown of the helmet as shown in the photo below.  Just a very fine college football helmet from 60 years ago in decent condition ready to be refurbished.  It is well worth the money and the effort as these helmets are impossible to find.
